It is understood that this activity was jointly sponsored by China Bayi Painting and Calligraphy Institute and China Red Culture Painters Association, and General Wei Yuan personally contributed 2 million yuan at his own expense. Wei Yuanyuan/KLOC-0 was promoted to Major General in July, 1994. He is a famous social activist, calligrapher, military historian and national cultural relic expert. He used to be the curator of China People's Revolutionary Military Museum, and now he is the president of Bayi Painting and Calligraphy Institute and the chairman of China Red Culture Painters Association. His calligraphy works are good at cursive script and have won many awards in the country. He was rated as "Top Ten Calligraphers in Harmonious China" and "The Third Artist with the Most Social Responsibility". In 2009, his calligraphy work "Watching the Sea and Listening to the Tao" was presented to US President Barack Obama as a national gift.
According to General Wei Yuan, the exhibition is divided into ten parts. The Red Culture Exhibition has been held many times all over the country. This time it was held in his former residence, mainly to add a red cultural tourist attraction to his hometown. It is meaningful to enhance the connotation of inheritance. He said emotionally that in order to thank his grandmother for her care and training since childhood, and for the entrustment of his hometown, he would make some contributions to his hometown.
He Daoquan, former vice president of National Defense University, Deng, former deputy secretary of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, former deputy governor of Hubei Province, deputy director of Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of Provincial People's Congress, former chairman of Wuhan, major generals Zhao Xianchun, Wang Dongfa and Xu Yongxin, former General Staff of Central Military Commission, Political Work Department, Logistics Support Department, Equipment Development Department, Navy, Rocket Army of Military Commission, former Beijing Military Region and Armed Police Force, Jin Yuan and Feng Chuansheng. He Daoquan, Zhao Bin, Ye Jinsheng, Ding Yu and Han Jingjing, son of Han Wei, the founding lieutenant general, spoke successively.
On the morning of the same day, Yuanjiadian in Gaoding Village, Wang Jiahe Street welcomed a large number of guests. This is the first red cultural center in Wuhan. As the former residence of General Wei Yuan, the villagers who came to watch the exhibition were crowded with a brand-new and elegant exhibition hall. At the exhibition site, Wei Yuan's Oil Painting Portraits of Chairman Mao and Ten Marshal, photos of General Chu selected as his editor-in-chief by 30 generals in Huang Bei, and ten works presented by the Party, the state and the army to Wei Yuan attracted many people present to stop and visit. General Wei Yuan had artistic exchanges with many painters and calligraphers, and presented huangpi district with portraits of Chairman Mao's oil paintings, calligraphy poems and other works. He and his wife Wang Xin also presented schoolbags to primary school students.
Wu Zuyun, head of huangpi district Municipal People's Government, and Li Yonggang, director of Wang Jiahe Sub-district Office, told Xinhua that Huangpi, an old revolutionary base area, is the birthplace of the Seventh Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army, and the number of founding generals coming out of this hot land ranks among the top in the country. The district party committee and the district government support this red cultural exhibition, aiming at expressing the memory of the martyrs, inheriting the red spirit, enriching the red culture of Huangpi and singing the main theme of the times.
