The existing population of Hotel Village is 545 1, the cultivated land area is 1.820 mu, and the per capita cultivated land area is only 0.33 mu. Since 2008, with the rapid development of economy, all kinds of construction land have increased year by year, and the contradiction between hotel villages and population has become more and more acute. A few years ago, there was an upsurge of aquaculture in the local area, and a lot of original cultivated land was occupied and excavated. However, with the sharp decline of aquaculture market demand since 2008, a large number of fish ponds have been abandoned, resulting in a large waste of land resources, which directly affects the local economic development and sustainable land use. Therefore, in the case of sharp contradiction between man and land and no reserve resources for cultivated land, comprehensive development of cultivated land and consolidation of existing land resources have become the only way to increase cultivated land.
Hotel Village has only one piece of farmland, with roads on one side and rivers on the other, covering an area of about 4,766 mu (including cultivated land 1.820 mu, river ditches 1.700 mu, 800 mu of ridges and 400 mu of roads). According to the land suitability evaluation results of relevant departments, the site has low terrain, good water source conditions, convenient irrigation, convenient transportation, fertile soil and great potential for land consolidation. Based on the idea of doing practical things for the common people, and on the premise of not damaging the ecological environment, and in accordance with the principle of comprehensive layout of "water, fields, forests and roads", the Party Committee and government of Jiang Jing Town, after various argumentation, planned according to the modern high-tech agricultural demonstration park, and entrusted the provincial water conservancy and hydropower survey and design institute to carry out the feasibility study and planning design of the project. Based on the current land management and leveling, the agricultural land in the village has become "square fields, canals, forest nets and roads." The implementation of this project will provide a successful demonstration in promoting agricultural scale management, improving agricultural competitiveness, protecting and utilizing ecological resources, land and stock cooperation, and building Fuqing leisure and sightseeing agriculture. It is understood that this project has been listed as one of the key land consolidation projects in the province in 2008 and has been approved by the Department of Land and Resources.
At the site of the hotel village project, the first phase of land leveling in the hotel village is in full swing. It is reported that it can be completed within three years from land leveling to development and utilization.
