The public security bureau undertakes the duties of public security organs: preventing, stopping and investigating illegal and criminal activities; Preventing and combating terrorist activities; Maintain public order and stop acts that endanger public order; Manage traffic, fire fighting and dangerous goods; Manage household registration, resident identity cards, nationality, entry and exit affairs and matters related to foreigners' residence and travel in China; Maintain public order in border areas.
Guard the specific personnel specified by the state and guard the important places and facilities; Manage assemblies, processions and demonstrations; Supervise and manage the safety supervision of public information networks; Guide and supervise the public security work of state organs, social organizations, enterprises and institutions and key construction projects, and guide the public security prevention work of mass public security prevention organizations such as public security committees.
