Lu Enchun, male, born in Beijing in 193 1, is1.70m tall. He was the first gymnast after the founding of New China, the first captain of the national gymnastics team, and won the national championship many times. After becoming a coach, Lu Enchun taught Zhang Jian, Gao Jian, Chen Xiong, Qian Kui and many other gymnastics stars. Lu Enchun became attached to gymnastics for more than half a century and worked as an athlete, coach and referee. The foundation for China gymnastics team to dominate the world was laid from his generation.
Lu Enchun was a member of the 9th and 10th Standing Committee of Beijing Chongwen District Political Consultative Conference, director of Beijing Collectors Association, and deputy director of sports collection professional committee. He has written many books, such as Thirty Years of Pen Geng Gymnastics, The Story Behind Gymnastics Highlights, and co-authored China Gymnastics History and other books.
