Southwest University for Nationalities, located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, is a comprehensive university for nationalities directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China. It was established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education.
