Chishui waterfall
Chishui Danxia Tourist Area is located in the south of Chishui City, Guizhou Province, with an area of 36.3 square kilometers. It consists of three scenic spots: Chishui Waterfall, Foguangyan and Yan Yanzi. The tourist area is the core scenic spot of the world natural heritage Chishui Danxia, as well as a national geological park, a national forest park and a national nature reserve. The tourist area is characterized by Danxia landform, waterfalls, bamboo sea, spiny spiny spiny ferns and virgin forests. It is the epitome of Chishui national scenic spot "the city of thousands of waterfalls, the crown of Danxia, the hometown of bamboo and the kingdom of thorns", which is rare in the world.
The Great Waterfall in Chishui Danxia Tourist Area is the trump card of Chishui Scenic Area and one of the core components of Chishui Danxia's application for world natural heritage. It is 34 kilometers away from Chishui city, and it takes about 40 minutes by car. The scenic spot features Chishui Waterfall and Meirenshu Waterfall, and there are cultural landscapes such as ice cream road, Xiangxi Lake, Mo Yan statue of Huishui Temple and Red Army slogan. The scenic area is about 10 square kilometer, with a round trip of about 4.5 kilometers. The walking time is 3.5 hours, and it takes 1.5 hours to take the sightseeing bus and the environmental elevator. Admission: Chishui Danxia Tourist Area (Great Waterfall, Yanzi Rock, Foguangyan) 180 yuan/person, 90 yuan 10 yuan/person, one-way 20 yuan in sightseeing bus, two-way 20 yuan, one-way 20 yuan, and the round trip is 40 yuan.
Chishui Waterfall is 76.2 meters high and 80 meters wide. It is the first waterfall in the Yangtze River system and one of the best waterfalls in China. Liu Haisu, a famous painter, is known as "the beauty of an empty valley", and experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences rated him as "the wonder of Danxia Waterfall in China". Some people sing "Suspected that the Milky Way is falling in the sky, and Penglai Fairy Scene is completed into dust"; Someone sang, "There is infinite hatred in life. How many people can know the grandeur?" In short, there are endless lofty sentiments and endless sighs.
Foyan scenic spot
Foguangyan in Chishui Danxia Tourist Area is located in Houyuan Town, Chishui City, Guizhou Province. Dalou Mountain is located at the northern foot of Guizhou Plateau, where Sichuan Basin sinks sharply. The slope of the valley is steep, with criss-crossing streams and rivers, and the cutting depth is between 500m and1300 m. Most peaks are above 1200m, and their heights vary greatly. It is the core scenic spot of Chishui, China's Danxia World Natural Heritage. It is mainly composed of Foguang Rock, Mount Everest, Liyuan Valley and Xanadu. It is an ecological scenic spot dominated by Danshan, clear water, green forest and waterfalls, and it is an important part of Danxia in Chishui. The scenic spot is about 10 square kilometer, and the tour time of the whole scenic spot is about 2-4 hours. It is 6 kilometers away from the intersection of scenic spots and towns, 44 kilometers away from the urban area, and it takes about 45 minutes by car.
Foguangyan is known as "the first garden of Danxia" and "the first scene". The main landscapes are "Danxia, the wonder of the world" and Mount Everest, which is unique in nature. There are more than 30 places such as Danxia landform, Qifeng, Cliff Cave, Buddha Rock, Bailong Waterfall, Danxia Castle and Camellia Forest.
Danxia landform is a kind of "red bed landform" named by China geologists in the 1920s, which is the Chibi landform in Ya Dan. It developed on the horizontal or gently inclined thick red glutenite from Jurassic to Tertiary. Due to the hydraulic erosion, weathering, peeling and collapse of vertical joints along the stratum, square hills, stone walls, stone peaks and stone pillars are formed, with flat tops, steep bodies and gentle foothills, which are called Danxia landform. Simply put, it is "the red clastic rock landform with steep cliffs and mainly gravel". Because this landform was first studied in Danxia Mountain, Renhua County, Guangdong Province, it is called "Danxia Landform". The rock composition of Danxia landform contains a lot of iron oxide and manganese oxide which are not easy to lose. These two red mineral elements are insoluble in water and have the lowest activity, forming a vivid Danxia.
Due to regional and vertical differences, the scenic spot has obvious regional climate and vegetation characteristics: large temperature difference, obvious three-dimensional climate (hot under the mountain and cool at the top of the mountain in summer), outstanding extreme temperature (maximum temperature 4 1.3, minimum temperature -4.5), heavy rainfall (annual average rainfall about 1000mm) and short frost-free period (about 260 days). There are many environmental water sources in the scenic spot, including well-developed scattered water caves and self-overflow springs, streams with large drops and numerous waterfalls. The forest coverage rate is over 95%, and there are more than 2,000 plant groups and more than 20 rare plants, which are flourishing. There are more than 400 species of wild animals and rare animals 10, with diverse populations, rapid reproduction, large numbers and complete natural ecosystems. The local agricultural proverb "One mountain has four seasons, ten miles are different from the sky" and "Snow on the Peach Blossom Mountain at the foot of the mountain" is a true portrayal of the natural ecology in mountainous areas.
Yanzi Rock Waterfall Scenic Area
Chishui Danxia Tourist Area Yanzi Rock is located in Lianghekou Town, Chishui City, Guizhou Province. Its main landscape is subtropical valley rainforest vegetation, which consists of Yanzi Waterfall, Changshou Spring, the source of life, the root of life, Liantai Waterfall and other scenic spots. It is an ecological scenic spot dominated by primitive Maolin and an important part of Chishui Danxia tourist area.
The scenic spot is about 5 square kilometers, 26 kilometers away from Chishui city, and the driving time is about 30 minutes. There is a sightseeing cableway in the scenic spot. The cableway tour takes about 1-2 hours, and the whole journey takes 3-4 hours on foot.
Wuzhengfeng scenic spot
In April, 20001year, Yanzi Rock Scenic Area won the laurel of National Forest Park for its original wild forest vegetation, magical Danxia landform and rare Jurassic memorial relics. It is another national scenic spot for eco-leisure tourism and popular science investigation in China.
Swallow Cave is a natural cave, more than 30 meters high and 70 meters wide, just like a flaming stone palace.
Surprisingly, due to wind and rain erosion, so many stone nests have been formed on the rock wall. Thousands of swallows used to live here. They work at sunrise and rest at sunset, so they become their home, hence the name Yanzi Rock.
Swallow Waterfall is 87 meters high. Because there are often groups of swallows flying in and out on the rock wall in the Mid-Levels, it is called Swallow Waterfall by villagers.
Running water cuts the canyon mercilessly and arbitrarily with the knife of years, forming rows of vertical broken ridges and steep cliffs. Coupled with the virgin forest that has never been reclaimed, it has cultivated rich water sources, thus creating a waterfall landscape that runs down.
