1985 Since the establishment of the School of Economics and Management, nearly 3,000 graduates have been trained. High-quality graduates have been trained all over Shandong, including nearly 10 provincial bureau-level cadres (Du Shicheng, Zhang Qiubo and Zhao Shuguo), more than 50 county-level cadres, more than 10 well-known entrepreneurs and a large number of factory directors and managers (Lin Qiang), which have played an important role in the economic construction of Shandong Province.

The School of Economics and Management of Yantai University is the only college in Yantai University that enrolls both liberal arts and science candidates. Since 1993, self-taught tutorial classes and correspondence classes have been offered, and since 2000, postgraduate classes have been jointly held with China Renmin University and Tianjin University of Finance and Economics. At the same time, the college actively undertakes the task of running schools in society and offers various training courses for cadres.
