The Past in Northeast China is a suspense comedy directed and written by Muchun Zha and starring Fan Wei and Nan Yu. The play was broadcast on Youku on February, 2023 10. The play tells the story of 1990, in which vicious incidents occurred frequently in Pisces River, a small town with a population of 20,000 in the northeast, and a number of evil forces successively entered the market for gold.

Introduction to the main characters of Old Northeast Stories

1, Shang Quanliang: employee of security department of thermos factory. Shang Quanliang is an old man who is keen on science fiction, anecdotes, qigong and other strange things and wants to be a policeman. Driven by curiosity and "being a policeman", he stubbornly opened the road of "making meritorious deeds", participated in a series of strange cases, reasoned cases with his brain full of knowledge, and realized the ideal of pursuing justice.

2. He Xueqin: the proprietress of Xueqin Dumpling House. Qin Xue and her younger brother came to the Pisces River from other places, and the two brothers lived alone.
