Hertz has made great contributions to human civilization. Just when people expected him to make further contributions, bone cancer took his life prematurely. Hertz died on New Year's Day in 1894, and only lived at the age of 37. Helmholtz, his mentor, praised Hertz as "brilliant and determined, and used his very short life to solve a series of important problems that many scientists have not solved in a century". 1896 on March 24th, the famous Russian physicist popov (1859 ~ 1906) wrote "Heinrich? Rudolph? Hertz ",a string of letters, sent the world's first telegram. In order to commemorate Hertz, later generations named the frequency unit "Hertz" after him.
