1940, Wang Dezhao wrote a paper based on this research achievement, and passed the defense of the national doctorate in science of the University of Paris, and was rated as "the highest honor level".
Under the training and guidance of Langevin, Wang Dezhao conducted extensive scientific research on the frontier topics of many branches of modern physics at that time, and achieved some creative results, which was particularly appreciated by Langevin. 1939, Langevin recommended Wang Dezhao to the Fourth Research Group of the French National Research Center (C.R.S) to participate in wartime scientific research, and began to get in touch with underwater acoustic technology, which made great contributions to France's increase of naval sonar transmission power.
From 1938 to 1956, Wang Dezhao served as an associate researcher and full-time researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research, and later served as the research director. During this period, in addition to the research of atmospheric electricity, he also engaged in the design and manufacture of negative photoinduced effect, controlling paper thickness by using β-rays, absorbing ultrasonic waves by liquid, Langevin ion generator, diffraction of ultrasonic vibrating piezoelectric crystals by X-rays, absolute intensity of RaD converted electrons, emitting low-energy γ -rays of actinides, ultra-sensitive electrometer and microbalance, all of which achieved good results and were praised by French scientific and technological circles. During this period, Wang Dezhao also served as the consultant of French Timely Company, the technical director of French Atomic Energy Commission and the consultant of British Isotope Development Company.
