He has served as associate professor and professor of Nanjing Forestry College and Nanjing Forestry University, director of forestry department, director of the third to fifth sessions of chinese society of forestry, and member of the first and second sessions of discipline appraisal group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. Member of the Jiu San Society. Engaged in the teaching and research of forest ecology. The research on high yield of Phyllostachys pubescens and its northward migration in cooperation with others has achieved results. The editor-in-chief is forestry and the deputy editor-in-chief is bamboo forest cultivation.
