What does desensitization mean?
Desensitization, a medical term, is a method used to treat type I hypersensitivity caused by specific allergens, that is, by injecting a small amount of allergens, sensitive cells are induced to release only a small amount of active mediators without causing obvious clinical symptoms.

Desensitization treatment generally adopts subcutaneous injection:

1, when receiving treatment for the first time, we should start with low concentration and small dose, and gradually increase the concentration and dose to reach the highest concentration and maximum dose that patients can tolerate; Then fix the concentration and dosage at this level and repeat the injection for a certain period of time.

2. Generally, it is injected once every 2 to 3 days, and the total treatment time is about 2 to 3 years. After the treatment, short-term intensive injection is needed every few years to consolidate the curative effect.

Specific desensitization therapy:

Specific desensitization therapy is one of the treatment methods for allergic diseases such as asthma. After the allergens causing allergic reactions of patients are determined, the allergens are made into extracts with different concentrations, which are repeatedly injected into patients or repeatedly contacted with patients through other channels. The dosage is from small to large, and the concentration is from low to high, so as to improve the tolerance of patients to such specific allergic substances and play a certain preventive role.

But for exogenous asthma, allergens must also be clear. Be sure to stick to it for 2~3 years or longer. Most patients are allergic to many substances, which cannot be made into injection extract. Different constitutions have different reactions to these extracts, and their curative effects are also inconsistent. We must do it under the guidance of a doctor.

Desensitization therapy is the only effective method to treat allergic diseases. After the allergen is diagnosed, contact is inevitable, and the normal treatment method can not achieve the ideal effect, so standardized desensitization treatment is needed.

Desensitization therapy is to prepare allergens into drugs, and patients gradually adapt to allergens after using them until antibodies are produced. When the patient comes into contact with the substance again, it will not induce the allergic reaction of the body, so the symptoms caused by allergy will disappear or be obviously alleviated.
