Jiangkou Town is located at the intersection of Yunnan, Wu Kai and Wuwu counties, and the provincial trunk line "Yuwu Road" runs through it. It is less than 20 kilometers away from Wan Yi Expressway, covering an area of 245 square kilometers and 67,679 mu of cultivated land, including 23,738 mu of cultivated land, land169,465,438 mu, 27,000 mu of returning farmland to forests and 70,977 mu of forest coverage. The urbanization rate is 24%, and the urban built-up area is 2.05 square kilometers. Xinjiangkou Town is formed by the merger of Xiangyang, Fanshui, Qian Qiu, Shengbao and Jiangkou. It has jurisdiction over 32 villages and 4 communities, with a total population of 1 1.5 million, including 26,600 urban residents, accounting for one tenth of the county's total economic output.

Jiangkou Town is a pilot small town of the Ministry of Construction, a top 100 town in Chongqing, and the first batch of 45 central towns in Chongqing. It is an important transportation hub and material distribution center connecting Chongqing, Shaanxi and Hubei in the north of Yunyang. It is also one of the earliest industrial and commercial centers in the north of Yunyang, and has a particularly important position in the regional development pattern of the county. The town is rich in products and unique in resources. The annual output of coal is more than 200,000 tons, making it the first coal-producing town in the county. Lean pigs, out-of-season vegetables, Newhall navel oranges and other special agricultural products are abundant and of high quality, especially tung oil, white goat skin and other local products, which have become the hometown of tung oil and the development base of goats in China.
