What's the difference between Nanhong and chalcedony?
Nanhong and chalcedony are members of agate family, and they are significantly different in many aspects.

1. Mineral composition: both Nanhong and chalcedony are silica, but chalcedony usually contains no or a small amount of time, while Nanhong mainly contains time.

2. Color: both Nanhong and chalcedony are big red, but the red color of chalcedony looks more moist and delicate, and it feels a little textured. In contrast, Nanhong's red color is bright, but its gloss is low and it feels dry.

3. Texture: chalcedony usually has no agate pattern, while Nanhong has obvious agate pattern. However, some chalcedony certificates can also indicate that it is south red agate, mainly depending on personal needs.

4. Litchi jelly: Litchi jelly is a kind of Nanhong, but not all Nanhong have this characteristic. Litchi jelly is light in color and looks transparent, and some contain tiny white spots.

Generally speaking, Nanhong and chalcedony are agate varieties, but because of their differences in mineral composition, color, texture and litchi jelly, we can easily distinguish them.
