What's the rank of admiral?
In many countries, admiral is the senior rank of general. The earliest rank of general was established by Peter I of Russia. General is the highest rank in the current rank system of China People's Liberation Army, and it is the benchmark rank of the head of the military region. His position corresponds to a regular military region, or a member of the Military Commission, or a vice chairman of the Military Commission.
