At 8: 58 am on March 28th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new teaching building of Dalian No.9 Middle School was held grandly. Mayor, Deputy Secretary Xue, Deputy Director of the National People's Congress, Deputy Director Zhang of the Municipal Education Bureau, Director Liang Zhenlin of the Infrastructure Department of the Municipal Education Bureau, Director of the District Planning Bureau, Dean Qiu Shaoguang of the Design Institute and other municipal and district leaders, leaders of the District Education Bureau and parents' representatives attended the groundbreaking ceremony. The new school building in No.9 Middle School broke ground with firecrackers.

Dalian No.9 Middle School is located at No.60 Xinglin Street, Zhongshan District. It is a junior middle school. The school building was built in 195 1 year, with a brick-concrete structure, covering an area of 10876 square meters and a construction area of 6967 square meters, with students 1825. Old school buildings, aging wiring and heating facilities, potential safety hazards, a serious shortage of teaching area, can not meet the needs of modern teaching, especially near downtown commercial areas, serious vehicle noise, bad environment, can not adapt to the development of education and teaching. After investigation and demonstration by the leaders of the district government and experts, it is agreed that the ninth middle school will be relocated. The new school building is located at No.24, Wei Zi Street, Zhongshan District, to the south of the post and telecommunications hub. The design standard of New No.9 Middle School is 24 classes in junior high school, covering an area of 9,495 square meters and a building area of 1.37 million square meters.
