Liao, born in Guangdong, 1975, moved to Hong Kong and is now a freelance writer and photographer. He has won the Hong Kong Chinese Literature Award, the Taiwan Times Literature Award and the United Daily News Literature Award. His published poems include Bitter Angel, Journey of Youth, Black Rain Coming, etc. Photography and essays such as China in Bohemia (co-author), photo collections such as Lonely China and Untitled Paris Stills.

Cao Shuying, who writes poems and fairy tales, holds a master's degree in comparative literature in Peking University. He used to be a columnist for Oriental Morning Post, Beijing Youth Weekly and Ming Pao (Hongkong), and he has written poetry anthology "Puppet Pulling", "cornucopia" and fairy tale collection "Fishing with Chickpeas" (to be published soon in Taiwan Province Province). Now he lives in Hong Kong, travels frequently, edits magazines and books, and writes freely for many newspapers and magazines.

Liao and Cao Shuying co-authored Interpretation of Hong Kong and Macao and Interpretation of Taiwan Province Province.
