A Brief Introduction to the Author of Cultural Turn in Translation Studies
Wang Ning, a native of Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, is a doctor of literature and a winner of special allowance from the State Council. At present, he is a professor of Foreign Languages Department in Tsinghua University, a doctoral supervisor and the director of the Center for Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies. Professor Zhiyuan from School of Humanities and Arts, Shanghai Jiaotong University. He used to be a visiting professor of Ford Distinguished Scholars at Yale University, a visiting professor at Illinois University, a visiting researcher at Duke University, a visiting researcher at Washington University, and a visiting researcher at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. He also served as Secretary-General of the National Standard Literature Theory Society, Vice-President of China Chinese and Foreign Literature Theory Society and Vice-President of China Comparative Literature Society. His main works are: Comparative Literature and China Literature Interpretation (1996), Comparative Literature and Contemporary Cultural Criticism (2000), Comparative Study of Western Literature in the Twentieth Century (2000), Literature and Psychoanalysis (2002), Beyond Postmodernism (2002) and Globalization and Culture. Cultural Studies and Literary Studies (2003), Globalization and Cultural Translation (2004), Cultural Translation and Classic Interpretation (2006), etc. He has published more than 400 Chinese and English papers in more than 70 domestic and foreign journals or collections. It contains more than 60 English papers, of which more than 30 are written by A & amp; HcJ and sscl databases. Some papers have been translated into Italian, German, Spanish and Korean.
