Comrade Chen Li is a revolutionary loyal to the Party. As early as at school, he took an active part in patriotic activities, participated in the great May 4th Movement and established the progressive thought of "democracy and science". As a progressive student in the May 30th Movement, he did a lot of propaganda work. In Chiang Kai-shek's "April 12th" counter-revolutionary massacre, he actively rescued and protected underground party member. After the founding of New China, he took part in the takeover of Zhejiang University and the land reform in southern Anhui. Comrade Chen Li has always supported and participated in revolutionary activities, and has a firm belief and persistent pursuit of the Party, striving for the cause of the Party. 1979, he finally realized his long-cherished wish and joined China gloriously.

Comrade Chen Li is an outstanding scientist in China, the founder, founder and important designer of industrial psychology. He devoted his life to the establishment and contribution of the Department of Industrial Psychology in China. As early as 1935, he wrote and published the first monograph of industrial psychology in China-An Overview of Industrial Psychology, systematically discussed the basic problems and principles of industrial psychology, and analyzed the application fields and theoretical development direction of industrial psychology from the organizational level, which became an important milestone in the theoretical development of industrial psychology and even applied psychology in China. Comrade Chen Li creatively developed the theory of intelligent measurement. He creatively applied the factor analysis method combining Chinese classical psychophysical experiments with modern psychometrics, and conducted the most extensive research on zero-factor materials. He put forward the theory that "the composition of factors is simplified with age", which changed Spearman's theory that G factors remain unchanged, and was regarded as a brand-new thought of phase analysis, which established his position in the field of international psychology. In the same year, he led a delegation of psychology from China to attend the meeting of the International Psychological Association, which enabled the Chinese Psychological Association to join the international scientific association. He is rigorous in his studies, tireless in teaching others, emphasizing a solid foundation and the ability to innovate, which is an example for every teacher and student to learn. His style is democratic, his moral character is noble, and he is enthusiastic about the growth of young talents. With all his efforts and energy, he lit the torch of knowledge and morality and guided generations of teachers and students to climb the peak of science.

During his tenure as a deputy to the provincial people's congress, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a leader of the Jiu San Society, and even after his retirement, he actively participated in the discussion of state affairs, reflected social conditions and public opinion, and made positive contributions to the country, science and technology, education and multi-party cooperation led by China. In his later years, he also worked hard to make suggestions for the leap-forward development of Zhejiang University and realize the goal of creating a world-class university. Comrade Chen Li is enthusiastic about science popularization and is one of the pioneers of science popularization in China. As early as 1945, together with Su, Wang and other scientists, he initiated the establishment of the Chinese Scientists Association in Chongqing, and in 1948, he served as the first chairman of the Hangzhou Branch of the Chinese Scientists Association.
