Mengyi Temple is a famous Gelupai ancient temple, which was built in the early post-macro period of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located in Mengyi Township, shiqu county, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, 7 kilometers away from the county seat. In Tibetan, "Mengyi" means the ancient Prajna Sutra, which is said to be the place where Weng Gong and Monks taught Prajna.
14th century (A.D. 1849) was created by the famous saint Ranla Solang Chile (now Zhushan Temple in Zarko Township, Ganzi Prefecture) under the inspiration of the 5th Dalai Lama Luo Rongjiangcuo and the 6th Bandan. It has a history of 158 years. Today, the visible Mengyi Temple is Jianye, which was expanded after 1978. After the expansion of the temple, the lamas in the temple welcomed many famous Buddhist scriptures, enlightenment, blessing and opening, so the monks in the temple gathered, gained great fame, and the Buddha's light shone on all beings.
Up to now, there have been many successful people in the temple, such as the fourth Jia Tudensolang, Tuxia-and Dara-who criticized Rinpoche. There are more than 400 monks in Mengyi Temple, among whom 10 is in Kampot: Tuxia Kampot, Jiang Cuo Kampot, etc.
