folklore

(1) Origin of the Giant Buddha: In the first year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty, a master and a disciple lived in Fu Sheng. The master is ingenious and the apprentice is naturally strong. Master and apprentice agreed to try to cultivate Bodhisattva to see who can practice more and better.

The master carefully carved and repaired the chicken breast, and the dawn was announced. More than 1,000 small Buddha statues of the master have been completed. He proudly went to see his apprentice. He just bypassed the ridge and saw lights shaking in the distance. He was surprised and walked quietly with a belt in his hand. At first glance, it turned out that the apprentice was holding a lantern to catch loach. He roared, "Forget the race. How many buddhas have you carved?" The apprentice carefully wiped the mud on his hand and said, "A giant Buddha has been carved, but his feet are not yet …" Hearing this, the master jumped up with anger and hurriedly killed the apprentice.

At dawn, the angry master came to the Buddhist temple to meditate and saw the golden light in the temple. He rubbed his eyes, and the brighter he rubbed them, the more convinced he was that the golden light came from outside the temple. He's out. Ah, a glittering giant Buddha, about 70 feet high, stands on the mountain wall. There is a night pearl on the top of your head, and you can put a square table on your chest. But there are no feet, because we have reached the foot of the mountain, and there is no place to carve our feet. Nevertheless, the thousands of buddhas I carved by myself add up to less than one of the disciples' giant buddhas, and I regret it.

Later, people built the feet of the giant Buddha with stones. Later, the original name of Jason Wu Academy was forgotten and replaced by the Great Buddha Temple.

(2) Master Zhou and Shibei Valley: In the Ming Dynasty, the Zhous in Shibei Valley were powerful. Master Zhou is in charge of Jiaomenzui (Yanfeng Mountain), and Honghuachong (now Qiuxichang in Zizhong) is in charge of the Dahekou on the left and the Big Buddha Temple on the right. The tenant was so bitter that he lost his pipe tablet at a stroke. Throw the jade card first, then the palm card, so that they can't receive the rent. Master Glory's stone tablet was lost, but the tenants were afraid that the descendants of the Zhou family would come to find it, so they set up another stone tablet. Later, the iron monument sank to the bottom of the ditch and a yellow bubble monument was erected. Today, it is still there, but the handwriting is peeling off. Everyone agrees that Aiqiao Village has the tomb of the Ming Dynasty and Zhou Dynasty. I dug it at the beginning of liberation, and a can of green oil is still burning. There are no descendants of Zhou in the local area, so I'm afraid I have moved away long ago.

It is precisely because of Zhou's tube monument and tombstone that this place got its name.

(3) Wang Xichang eats fish: During the Guangxu period, Wang Xichang, a tribute to the inscription ditch, kept writing books all day in order to become famous.

Xichang has a hobby. He likes to eat fish. He wants to eat a meal every three days, and he wants to eat a catty of 22 Liang. Over time, his wife also learned the good craft of frying fish with one hand. One day, I often brought back a little wife from the city, dressed in water, charming and amorous feelings. He deliberately told his wife to come up with good craftsmanship and entertain new people. Unexpectedly, because I was too serious, I didn't hold the fire color firmly this time and taught him a lesson. The wife thought that all the other roofs were small and big, but this time it was good. The big one helped to clean the small one, but my husband scolded me and hung up in a rage.

Two years later, Wang Xichang provoked the bookcase and went to Beijing to catch the exam. He passed by Chengdu Building and saw a teacher standing in front of a restaurant, greeting him: "Guest officer, please sit down." Wang Xichang felt exhausted at this moment, and his stomach was a little empty. He walked quickly into the shop, unloaded the book box and sat down.

Teacher Yao looked him up and down and asked, "Is your surname Wang?" Answer: "My name is Wang." Teacher Yao asked again, "Are you Master Wang Xichang?" Wang Xichang said humbly, "This is my humble name." Teacher Yao said, "We have fish here. Fried fish suits your taste. If it doesn't meet the requirements, the fresh fish can be fed in a jar and fried. " Xichang took the liberty of calling out. A fish came to the table, picked a piece and put it in his mouth. I have an appetite, so he thought, how do you know my surname is Wang, and how do you know that I like fish? He hurriedly called Yao Shi to his side and interrogated him one by one. Teacher Yao said that a woman came this morning, wearing a green handkerchief, green clothes and blue shoes on her feet. She knew you were going to pass by, so she brought a fish to teach me how to fry it to your taste. Wang Xichang was surprised and asked the woman's figure and appearance. Teacher Yao said: "This woman is generally short, of medium build, wicker and gentle." Xichang felt something was wrong and asked how heavy the fish was. Teacher Yao said, "This fish is 220 taels a catty, and the woman has already paid for it." Hearing this, Wang Xichang shouted "No". He knew it was his wife's ghost, and he had brought it with him. If he goes to Beijing for an exam, his wife will definitely get even with him. Thinking of this, he dared not go any further, picked up the book box and walked quietly to the original road.
