At the age of 20, he began to perform in class and was inspired by Jiao. Later, he joined Jingyang People's Troupe, studied under the famous artist Bai Shulai, and studied under Yuan Keqin, a performer of Shaanxi Opera puppet show who is good at singing. He has a sonorous voice, is diligent in learning and is good at studying. His singing style has absorbed some characteristics of famous actors such as Yuan Keqin and Liu Yiping, such as Yuan Pai's "singing three sighs" and Liu Yiping's nasal resonance.
