As a foreign language characteristic school, the school is a cooperative school between the American Humanities Society and the Gap Project School in Britain. It is a sister school with the high school affiliated to La Chuber University in Australia and Rossini High School in Italy.
Running a school with foreign language characteristics goes to the world. Since 2003, No.3 Middle School has taken the lead in participating in the international cultural exchange activities of Changzhou AFS project. On 20/2009-20 10/0, the school accepted 8 AFS exchange students from Germany, Italy and Hungary, and 15 students went abroad for exchange and study through the AFS program, which was the largest and most influential among similar schools in China. On behalf of Changzhou, Zhang Jianwei, deputy secretary and vice president of the Party Committee of our school, introduced his experience at the national AFS conference. The outstanding performance of the students in No.3 Middle School has been commended by the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Department of Education and the International Exchange Center of the Municipal Education Bureau. Some students were also received and praised by the head of state of the host country on behalf of AFS exchange students. Among them, Wang Qi, an AFS exchange student, won the special gold medal in the English Talent Engineering Senior High School Group in February 2009, and participated in the recording of Growing Online on CCTV in August 2009 with the theme of "patriotic deeds of overseas students". At present, Wang Qi has been admitted to Aachen University of Technology and employed as the staff of Iceland Pavilion of Expo 20 10. AFS Exchange Week performed well in all aspects and became the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s preparation for party member. In May 2009, the school received a delegation of 28 teachers and students from Rossini High School in Italy for a week-long study exchange visit. In June 2009, 28 teachers and students from the school visited Rossini High School in Italy. It has further broadened the channels and scale of international cooperation in running schools and expanded the scope of project benefits. As the only Italian training base approved by the Ministry of Education in China, the "6+6+3" project of Nanjing Normal University is a part of the "Kelpolo Plan" of the Chinese and Italian governments. As the source base of Changzhou, No.3 Middle School is fully responsible for the interview and selection of students. Up to now, four groups of students have gone to Italy to study, and the fifth group of about 30 students have entered the Italian language class through selection. The success of Italian classes has given students in No.3 Middle School another road to "Rome" in addition to the college entrance examination, and also made the outline of No.3 Middle School as an international foreign language school increasingly prominent. No.3 Middle School has hired 16 foreign teachers to teach, and oral English course has become a highlight of Changzhou education. Among them, Mr. David Craig, an American foreign teacher, taught in this school for 10, and won the title of "Friendship Award of Jiangsu Provincial Government" and "Honorary Citizen of Changzhou City" successively. 20 10 on may 28th, Changzhou evening news (version B 13) introduced the international exchange program of the school. In addition to special activities, students' overall English level and quality are also constantly improving.
