Four major electric power universities
The four major electric power universities are:

1, North China Electric Power University

North China Electric Power University (NCEPU) is affiliated to the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and it is a national key university jointly established by the board of directors of the State Grid Corporation, China Electric Power Enterprise Federation and the Ministry of Education.

2. Three Gorges University

Approved by the Ministry of Education, the Three Gorges University was formed by the merger of the former Wuhan Institute of Water Conservancy and Electric Power (Yichang) and the former Hubei Three Gorges University. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and Hubei Province. Formerly known as Gezhouba Hydropower Engineering College, it has been focusing on electric power and water conservancy.

3. Northeast Li Dian University

Northeast Li Dian University is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, and is a key university in Jilin Province. It was selected as one of the first batch of key universities in "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" by the Ministry of Education.

4. Shanghai Electric Power University

Shanghai Electric Power University, located in Shanghai, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning jointly established by the central government and Shanghai, which is mainly managed by Shanghai.
