The establishment and development of Dongguan Overseas Chinese Middle School embodies the love and generosity of patriotic overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, Fenggang Town Party Committee, government and all walks of life. During the 40 years from its early days to 1997, there were more than 900 overseas Chinese, Hong Kong compatriots and villagers. Overseas Chinese from various ports are scrambling to contribute to the construction. In 2005, in order to adapt to the new education situation, build brand education, build a strong town with education and benefit the people of Fenggang, the Party Committee and government of Fenggang Town planned a new school site and advocated the whole society to donate money to build the school. The initiative received a positive response. A total of 3 154 enterprises and institutions, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong compatriots and social enthusiasts donated more than 22 million yuan to overseas Chinese Zhongxing New School, which made great contributions to the smooth completion and commissioning of the new school.
The new campus of Dongguan Huaqiao Middle School covers a total area of 79,479 square meters, with a total construction area of 64,408 square meters. So far, the total investment has exceeded 100 million yuan. The new school is planned and designed according to the standards of provincial schools, equipped with modern audio-visual education and teaching equipment, corresponding auxiliary function rooms, well-equipped cultural and sports centers, living buildings and sports venues. The school scale is 48 classes, which can accommodate more than 2,400 students. At present, all the students in our school live on campus.
