Hechi Jinchengjiang Airport is located in the northwest of Guangxi, bordering Guizhou, 40 kilometers away from Hechi City, and the soon-to-be-built Shantou-Kunming Expressway passes through here. After the expressway is opened to traffic, the airport is only 28 kilometers away from Hechi city, and the runway is 2200 meters long and 45 meters wide, with a total construction area of 7540 square meters. The total investment of the airport project is about 850 million yuan.

The airport officially started construction on February 3, 2008. By the beginning of August, 2065438, it has passed the project completion acceptance, flight verification, flight test and industry acceptance organized by the civil aviation department. The airport fully meets the design requirements and has navigation conditions.

This project leveled several hilltops and built a 2.2-kilometer-long runway, which is the highest airport in Guangxi at present and the only airport built by splitting mountains in Guangxi. The completion of the airport has brought the number of airports in Guangxi to seven.
