In 2000, Yiliang County governed 3 towns, 10 township, and 5 ethnic townships: Jiaokui Town, Luozehe Town and Niujie Town. Xinchang Township, Mao Ping Township, Developed Township, Qiaoshan Township, Haizi Township, Zhongming Township, Lianghe Township, Longan Township, Xiaocaoba Township and Longhai Township; Longjie Miao and Yi Township, Kuixiang Miao and Yi Township, Linshu Yi and Miao Township, Liuxi Miao Township and Wang Luo Miao Township.

In 2006, Mao Ping Township was abolished, and the developed village committees under its jurisdiction were placed under the jurisdiction of Jiaokui Town. Mao Ping, Boyi, Ji Xian, Zhu Ye, Taiping, Longtan, Dazhai, Huqiu, Lingdong, Xiongkuai and other 10 village committees are under the jurisdiction of Luozehe Town, which is located in Dazhai, Mao Ping Township. Revocation of Xinchang Township and developed township, its administrative area merged into Jiaokui Town, which was under the jurisdiction of the original Jiaokui Town. After the adjustment of administrative divisions of Xinchang Township and developed township, the original village committee and town * * * resident of Mao Ping Township remained unchanged.

In March of 20 12, Yiliang reported that it requested to cancel the establishment of seven townships, namely Xiaocaoba, Long 'an, Longhai, Qiao Shan, Zhongming, Haizi and Lianghe, and set up the establishment of township institutions accordingly. In September of the same year, the province agreed to cancel seven township organizational systems, and set up township organizational systems accordingly, with the administrative regions and * * * stations unchanged.

Yiliang 12 township and 3 towns were established, and the township was abolished and then changed to 5 township 10 town.
