Wang is from Funing, Jiangsu Province. 1942 joined China. He used to be the deputy director of Yanfu Paper Mill and the manager of Li Lu Paper Mill. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as the director of the Paper Industry Management Office of the Ministry of Light Industry, the vice president and deputy chief engineer of the Paper Design Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry, the director of the Paper Industry Research Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry, the deputy director of the Paper Industry Administration, the director of the Light Industry Bureau of the State Economic Commission, the deputy director of the Ministry of Light Industry, and the first and second vice presidents of the China Paper Society.
