Jingyuan County, which belongs to Guyuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is located at the southernmost tip of Ningxia. It is connected to Kongtong District, Pingliang City, Gansu Province in the east, Huating County and Zhuanglang County in Gansu Province in the south, Longde County in the west, Yuanzhou District and Pengyang County in the north, and is known as "Qin Feng's throat, Guanlong will be rushed". It is 4 1.5km long from north to south and 27.3km wide from east to west, with a total area of 1 13 1 km2.
1958, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established, and Jingyuan was transferred to Ningxia, belonging to Guyuan District and renamed Jingyuan County. 1970, Guyuan area was changed to Guyuan area, and Jingyuan County belonged to Guyuan area. Now it belongs to Guyuan city.
