Please understand me and interpret yourself with MBTI——INFP idealist.
Recently, I started reading books on MBTI's personality analysis, the most classic ones are Please Understand Me and Gifted, so I will make a series of outputs with MBTI as the core in the near future. The topic of knowing yourself is always full of philosophical meaning and mystery. People are complex and changeable, but there are also natural laws to follow. Everyone wants to know more about themselves, others and live a happy and valuable life, whether in work or study, or in marriage and parenting families. So in what way can we better understand ourselves?

Gallup's advantage is to know oneself from the perspective of talent, and pay more attention to the identification and application of ability. Today, I recommend another personality analysis tool that is popular all over the world: MBTI.

Myers-Briggs indicator (MBTI for short), Myers-Briggs indicator, Myers' mother and daughter are American psychologists, who developed the 16 personality classification method based on the research of Swiss psychologist Jung.

If you want to simply judge which type you belong to, you can start to reflect on the following four questions:

1. Does your energy source tend to be more energetic when you are quiet and alone, or when you communicate with others?

2. Which way do you prefer to receive information, know and experience the world? Are you better at observing the real world or do you prefer abstract intuitive concepts?

3. Are you more emotional or rational when making decisions?

4. Is your lifestyle more inclined to strict planning judgment or flexible and open perceptual adaptation?

Through four dimensions and eight relative preferences, a total of 16 combinations are generated. As shown in the figure below:

Do you have the answer to the above question? What kind of personality are you?

It doesn't matter if you're not sure for a while. You can slowly look back at yourself at school and find the most natural, relaxing and comfortable choice, which may be the natural you who has not been suppressed and transformed by the environment.

Of course, you can also do a free test on the topic version of MBTI 95,/Ceping/mbti.html. It should be noted that the test results are not important, and the most important thing is how you understand and interpret yourself behind the label.

It should also be emphasized here that although these personality or strength assessment tools can help me find my own type, just like putting a label on myself, the real purpose is not to tell myself that we are like this after getting this label. On the contrary, this may become a restrictive belief on our growth path.

I remember that at the beginning of 20 19, I made a sharing of "Dierske's Personality Mystery" at the company's annual meeting. When I was looking up information, I saw Dr. Brian Little's lecture on the mystery of personality at Ted. What moved me most was that sentence, "Don't ask others what type you are, ask them: What is the core project of your life?"? Ask me not what kind of personality I am, but what is the most important thing in your life? ")

Remember, understanding these concepts of nature and id is just a tool to find your own way. With these names, classifications and descriptions, you can establish your own unique experience link, because you are the master of life. You can tear off this label, just like Nezha's sentence "My life is up to me". Only after you accept it can you really start to break through and grow.

My first contact with MBTI was at 20 10, when I was a sophomore. I remember that I was very confused at that time, because I had just finished a job in a different place for almost a year, and all my beautiful dreams and ideals about the professional world and the company were shattered. I suddenly lost my goal and direction, and I don't know what kind of job to look for next. I only vaguely realized that I don't like the complicated interpersonal relationships of real estate companies. The HR job that I have been longing for has also produced a huge gap after close contact. When I submitted my resume for an internship, I was completely uninterested in the position of HR Assistant Commissioner.

Simply let yourself stop first, instead of immediately investing in the next internship, but start a round of active self-exploration. During that time, I consulted many documents, among which Jung and Myers' analysis of MBTI's personality type touched me the most. Through the detailed analysis and interpretation of the evaluation report, I know that I belong to INFP type among idealists, and this type of population accounts for about 1-2% of the world.

Through the analysis of INFP test results, I have a better understanding of my thinking angle and decision-making mode in many things, and I have begun to accept my natural state slowly. People also realize that people can grow up with age and enrich their experiences. Weak functions (such as my preference for rational and logical thinking T and my observation of realistic facts S) are just like children growing up slowly. Although not as powerful as the leading functions (preferring emotional resonance and understanding F, preferring abstract and intuitive concept N), those abilities will gradually improve.

So, I remember that many people didn't understand my part-time and part-time ways. Why does an excellent graduate student go out to work instead of concentrating on his studies? Because there was an obsession at that time, since I was not admitted to an ideal university to study academic HR, I had to practice real business society as soon as possible, and the theoretical concepts in the classroom could not satisfy my determination to try. This is the best example that I prefer to make decisions based on intuition rather than rational thinking.

After 1 year GAP year trial and error, I have come into contact with and experienced all kinds of people, real workplace life and diversified work contents. For one year, I have worked as a member of the preparatory group of star-rated hotels, an assistant to personnel administration, an assistant to investment promotion and an assistant to the general manager. Although I can efficiently complete the routine tasks of uploading and layout, I have no sense of accomplishment, but I am interested in some new challenging tasks, such as expert exchange, communication and coordination, information collection and integration, PPT design and so on. From this perspective, I can extract myself and enjoy exploring and refining abstract concepts or communicating with people in depth.

So, I later adjusted my internship strategy. First of all, with the help of my tutor, I teach college students new English concepts and prepare business English and CET-6 oral English. In the process of teaching, I feel very satisfied, and my oral English ability has been improved through teaching and mutual learning. Half a year later, when an American startup company recruited HR interns, the unexpected 1/6 won.

In Please Understand Me, INFP is called the healer, which means to mend the cracks that plague people's personal lives and interpersonal relationships, treat others in a gentle and harmonious way, and help them restore their lost unity and integrity. Indeed, this may be an internal need that I can't control myself. Natural emotional resonance makes me understand others better, so I always want to play the role of a supporter in my work and life.

So, if you want to ask me what is the most important thing in life, I think it should be the inner voice many years ago, "It's really good for everyone" and "I like to send charcoal in the snow, but I don't like icing on the cake". On the road of personal growth, help as many people as possible, whether it is friends, family members around you or you in the distance. Of course, I know that to pursue and realize this beautiful dream and turn it into a lifelong career requires solid professional skills and personal management ability, and everything I have paid for it is also an inevitable process of continuous cultivation and self-improvement.
