Understand the functions that different converters can achieve, and choose the appropriate topology according to the design requirements;
Familiar with the working state of inverter, able to carry out steady-state analysis and AC small signal analysis of inverter;
Familiar with the mathematical model of the converter, the steady-state input-output relationship and transfer function of the converter can be obtained;
According to the transfer function of the converter, the loop of the converter can be designed;
On the basis of loop design, the stability of the system (Bode diagram, etc.) is analyzed. );
Familiar with converter loss calculation (conduction loss, switching loss).
② Simulation Analysis After the power supply design scheme is determined, simulation analysis can be carried out to verify the accuracy and feasibility of the design scheme.
In the design of switching power supply, commonly used simulation software are
PSIM/Pspice (power electronics modeling);
Saber (mixed digital and analog modeling);
Matlab/Simulink .
Because these simulation softwares have their own characteristics, my usage habit is to choose and use them according to the simulation needs.
(3) After the knowledge scheme design and simulation analysis of components are completed, the hardware design will be carried out, and the first problem is the selection of components.
Familiar with the characteristics and usage of power components (IGBT, MOSFET, etc.). );
Familiar with the use of RLC and other general components;
Familiar with the design method of transformer or inductor;
Familiar with the design method of filter.
(4) (4) After the PCB diagram and plate-making components are selected, plate-making is needed, and Protel or Altium designer will be used at this time.
Draw the schematic diagram of power supply according to the design scheme.
According to the component selection, make its packaging library (some need to make it by themselves);
PCB wiring (grounding, EMC and other issues to be considered);
Submit PCB drawings to the manufacturer for production.
⑤ The switching signal of digital controller using switching devices can be generated by analog circuit or digital controller. When using digital controllers, you need to be familiar with their principles and usage methods, such as DSP and FPGA.
Familiar with the principle of digital controller
Familiar with the design of peripheral circuit of digital controller
Familiar with programming language of digital controller
The switching signal of the switching device can be generated according to the corresponding modulation mode.
⑥ Electromagnetic compatibility design runs through the design of power supply, involving shielding, filtering, grounding, PCB design and other aspects, which is very important for the design of switching power supply.
