Although everyone is preparing for the interview, it is not easy to make an impression. This article will specifically talk about the interview that everyone has to go through. How to introduce yourself and make yourself shine like gold in the eyes of the interviewer?

1. What is the interview?

It is an opportunity for the interviewer to further confirm that you are the person they need, and you can further demonstrate your communication skills. So remember, you are dealing with people, not answering questions from machines.

First of all, why did the interviewer ask this question? Isn't it clear and detailed in your resume?

To tell the truth, my friend MengMeng successfully asked the interviewer this question. Of course, the final result was that he went home with his bag without answering any questions.

In fact, this question is based on the experience of senior interviewer Su San, mainly to give the interviewer a buffer time to familiarize him with your resume again.

Therefore, friends should remind the interviewer of your characteristics and why you are particularly suitable for this position by introducing yourself.

To introduce yourself in the interview, we should follow the principle of minimalism and highlight the key points.

Second, the minimalist self-introduction 5-sentence formula

1+3+ 1

The time is controlled at 1 min, and the words written on paper are 120- 160, including five sentences:

1) Who am I (in a word)

Read the name clearly and put the stress on the last word.

I'm Susan, I'm Susan. If I emphasize the first word, the words behind it will be weak and have no momentum; Emphasize that the words behind are different, and the stress at the end makes people feel more confident.

2) My three highlights and the most relevant recent experience? (3 sentences)

To prove your record, your enthusiasm for work.

3) Why do I want this job? (in a word)

Considering the requirements of this job, it is very, very important how you think this job is suitable for you, or why you are qualified for this job!

Because without this sentence, your self-introduction can easily end with some detailed statements, and the interviewer can't give you an overall evaluation.

At the same time, the place where the self-introduction ends is the place where the interview officially begins. If you stop at the details, it is easy for the interviewer to ask questions in depth from this detail. If you can't answer, it will be terrible.

No one knows everything, no one has three heads and six arms, some weaknesses are normal, and the interviewer knows this, so foster strengths and avoid weaknesses, and lead the topic to your most confident place through self-introduction.

Third, examples.

Ok, let's look at an example.

1) I'm Sinan. Graduated from Shanghai University majoring in telecommunications. I have worked as an electronic engineer in large companies such as Huawei and ZTE. I am in charge of/involved in several national projects. He has won honors/awards such as advanced individuals in the company. Now I am applying for the position of senior engineer in your company, hoping to get this precious opportunity. Thank you very much

What about this example?

First of all, there is no bright spot, it is a simple retelling of the resume, not an outline summary.

Secondly, I didn't match my position well.

Once again, "I hope to get this precious opportunity, thank you very much!" It's like "I hope our university can get along well in the next four years, and our friendship will last forever". ?

2) Hello! I am Susan. I got my doctorate in linguistics from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is a visiting scholar at Cornell University and the Business School of the University of Southern California. For nine years, he has been teaching language and intercultural courses in universities and training institutions at home and abroad.

Recently, I have been committed to the writing of WeChat platform, applying linguistic knowledge to life and work to help people communicate and interact better. With rich teaching experience and enthusiasm for language interaction, I look forward to playing my specialty and growing together with your company!

In this example, everything conforms to the minimalist 5-sentence formula, not bad!

Four, two don't.

Two don't:

1) Repeat your resume.

What the interviewer wants is not simple repetition, but expecting you to give the "central idea" and "outline" of your resume.

2) Too modest = too guilty?

Being too modest will not only make the interviewer think you are incompetent, but also produce negative feedback.

Prepare a five-sentence formula, then the next step is: practice, practice!

It is said that when Joe Wang was alive, every page of ppt had to be rehearsed for several hours, and all useless words were cut off to be minimalist;

Up to now, Apple has made a summary of the report from top to bottom, and it is still: Rule No 1 All nonsense is deleted! No2 practice for ten hours before going on stage!

Read your self-introduction aloud and remember the key points and order of self-introduction.

Recite your self-introduction until it sounds natural, just like talking at ordinary times. Practice makes perfect!

Practice introducing yourself several times until it doesn't sound like rote learning.

Key points: there is rhythm, pause and ups and downs.

Tips:

1) Practice with experienced friends and let them give you feedback like an interviewer.

2) Recording the practice process with a mobile phone and playing back the comparison and correction are more useful than looking in the mirror and suitable for all kinds of interview simulation drills.

Finally, remind everyone that self-introduction cannot be done once and for all. Make specific changes and exercises in every interview! The following courses can help you prepare yourself better. Click on the applet link to learn for free. Good luck with the interview.
