Shouyang County belongs to Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. Located in the east of Shaanxi Province, it is located in the pillow of Heng Yue, winding in the Taihang Mountains and living in the middle and upper reaches of the river. The whole terrain is higher in the northwest and north, and gradually inclines to the southeast, showing a ladder-like distribution; The total area of the county is 2 1 10 square kilometers. Shouyang County is located between Taiyuan, Yangquan and Jinzhong, and there are Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway, Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan High-speed Passenger Dedicated Line, Taijiu Expressway, Taiyuan East Second Ring Expressway, National Highway 307, Yuyu Highway, Jiuyu Line and Yuxi Expressway under construction. The planned Dongshan tunnel connecting line and the east extension line of Longcheng Street run through the whole territory, and are known as the "Golden Triangle" in Sanjin and the "Dry Wharf" in Shanxi.

Historical evolution:

In the third year of the Republic of China (19 14), it belonged to Jining Road, and then directly belonged to the province. In War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, three anti-Japanese democratic governments, namely, Lunan, Xi Shou and Shoudong, were established with Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway as the boundary, which were subordinate to Taihang No.2 Department and Beiyue No.2 Department respectively. In the 37th year of the Republic of China (1948), the county was liberated and the original buildings were restored. After that, Songta and Moro Temple were included in Pingding County and were under the jurisdiction of the first district of Jinzhong Administrative Office.

1949 March, after the establishment of Taiyuan Municipal People's Government, it was under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan Municipal Agency, and in June of the same year, it was under the jurisdiction of Yuci Agency (hereinafter referred to as Jinzhong Administrative Office). In 2000, Jinzhong City was established from the ground, and Shouyang County was under the jurisdiction of Jinzhong City.
