The supervisory committees at all levels in People's Republic of China (PRC) are state supervisory organs.
Article 124
People's Republic of China (PRC) has set up supervisory committees at the National Supervisory Commission (NSC) and local levels.
The Board of Supervisors consists of the following personnel:
Chief,
Several deputy directors,
Several members.
The term of office of the chairman of the board of supervisors is the same as that of the people's congress at the corresponding level. Director of the National Supervisory Commission shall not serve for more than two consecutive terms.
The organization and functions of the board of supervisors are prescribed by law.
What are the duties of the board of supervisors?
1. Educate public officials in a clean and honest manner, and supervise and inspect their performance of duties according to law, fair use of power, incorruptible politics and ethical conduct;
2, investigate and deal with suspected corruption and bribery, abuse of power, dereliction of duty, power rent-seeking, interest transfer, favoritism and waste of state-owned assets and other illegal crimes;
3. Make administrative punishment decisions on illegal public officials according to law.
