On March 1938 and 18, 500 soldiers of Fujian-Zhejiang Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Corps of the National Revolutionary Army, which was adapted from the advance division of the Red Army, set out from Shanmen Street in Pingyang County and went to the front line in southern Anhui.

In the bonfire of the Anti-Japanese War, this team gradually became a strong force of the New Fourth Army, and at the same time, it also walked out of four Republic generals, including Su Yu, Chen Tiejun, Zhang Wenbi and Liu Hengyun.

In 2005, 96-year-old Zhang Wenbi was the only one among the four generals who was still alive, and the only one among the 500 soldiers who went north to fight against Japan that year. A few days ago, the author went to Nanjing to visit General Zhang Lao and listened to him talk about that eventful time.

On the morning of August 10, 2005, a humble small courtyard on Xihe Road, Nanjing. Under the leadership of Zheng Yiping, a former correspondent of Comrade Liu Ying, the author met General Zhang Wenbi, who is 96 years old.

As soon as the old general heard that the author was from Wenzhou, he immediately asked with concern: "The recent two typhoons have caused great losses to Pingyang and Cangnan. Is Shanmen Street flooded? "

Shanmen Town, Pingyang County is the place where the old general once lived and fought. Although more than 60 years have passed, he still deeply remembers that history.
