Jinan, also known as Quancheng, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital, sub-provincial city, mega-city and the core city of Jinan metropolitan area under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province. It is also the central city of the southern wing of Bohai Rim approved by the State Council. As of 20 19, the whole city has jurisdiction over 2 counties in 10, with a total area of 10244.45 square kilometers.
