School Status Xianning College is located in the hometown of Chibi in the Three Kingdoms, the inland nuclear power new city and the hot spring capital of China, Xianning City, Hubei Province. It is an ordinary undergraduate college in Hubei Province.

Xianning College has a long history and profound cultural background. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002, it was formed by the merger of Xianning Normal College and Xianning Medical College. Xianning Teachers College was founded in 1937, and has gone through the period of Hubei Puyin Normal School, Xianning Normal School and Wuhan Normal College Xianning Branch. Xianning Medical College was founded in 1965, formerly known as Xianning Branch of Hubei Medical College. 1977 began to recruit undergraduates, 1985 was granted the right to award bachelor's degrees with the approval of the State Council, and 1997 passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education.
