What are the characteristics of Zhengshi literature?
The representative writers in Zhengshi era are Ruan Ji and Ji Kang. They are in the political power struggle between Sima Shi and Cao Shi. Seeing Sima Shi's dark and brutal rule with Zoroastrianism, they strongly advocated Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi's thought and opposed it with "nature" and "Zoroastrianism". Their creation is also quite different from Jian 'an literature. Generally speaking, the content that reflects people's sufferings and pursues "making contributions" has been replaced by exposing the dark terror of politics and "worrying about life". The positive and enterprising spirit was replaced by the negative rebellious thought of denying reality and hiding from the world. The works are more of the color of Laozi and Zhuangzi's thoughts. However, dissatisfaction and resistance to the dark reality are still the main tendency of the works, so they still inherit the "Jian 'an style" in basic spirit. However, its overall style is quite different from Jian 'an poems. Ji Kang's simplicity and Ruan Ji's remoteness have their own unique lyrical ways, but the poem "Mixed Immortal Heart" praises the birth, shows obvious ideological color of Laozi and Zhuangzi, and the tone of loneliness, grief and indignation, twists and turns and obscure expressions make Zhengshi's poetry unique. Due to the specific social and historical environment and the writer's constant exploration in the art of poetry, the literati's five-character poems completely got rid of the influence of the folk songs of Han Yuefu, enriched the expression techniques of the five-character poems and made important contributions to the development of the literati's five-character poems.
