Ning Encheng's Personality Achievement
1In March, 999, Northeastern University published his masterpiece "Looking Back in a Hundred Years" for Ning Lao. 1April, 1999, President He personally brought 200 hardcover books to San Francisco as a birthday present for Northeastern University to congratulate Ning Lao on his centenary birthday. Two generations of principals embraced in a foreign land, while the older generation shed tears. That scene ......

Ning Lao and Mrs Niu come from a noble family in Jiangxi. They have six daughters, Ke Mei, Ke Jia, Ke Liang, Ke Li and Ke Qing. Ning Lao not only had a brilliant career all his life, but also managed his family well, taught his children well, prospered his family business, and all six women became talents, which impressed and admired his colleagues in the village.

Although the six daughters came to the United States with their parents since childhood, anyone who has come into contact with them will obviously feel that they have received a good Confucian education since childhood. The deep affection between my late father and Zhang Xueliang, who is two months younger than him, especially my late father's lifelong love and persistence in Northeastern University, even to the point of disregarding personal safety, has been deeply educating and infecting them. In their hearts, they have planted the seeds of loving their hometown and university.

After the death of Ning Lao, the six daughters have been paying attention to the development of Northeastern University and keeping in touch with it. In their view, my late father and Northeastern University are a whole. I once loved Northeastern University from my father. Now that their father is gone, they love Northeastern University as their father. The existence of Northeastern University is the existence of father. In the second year of Ning Lao's death, the six sisters decided to donate all the $6,543,800+left by their father to each of them, totaling $600,000, to help them repair the library to fulfill their father's last wish. In September 2003, when Northeastern University celebrated its eightieth anniversary, the school officially named the library of Northeastern University Ning Encheng Library, which was renovated under the care of six sisters of Ning. With deep love for Northeastern University and to celebrate the realization of my late father's wishes, Ning Lao's daughters gathered in Beijing from all directions. On September 19, a group of special guests-Ning Lao's daughter, their husbands and their children-were welcomed to the campus of Dongda University. They were dressed in festive costumes. 13 distinguished guests, adults and children are singing and laughing, and their black eyes and blue eyes are shining. In front of the bronze statue of Ning Encheng erected in the library square, at the "Life Exhibition of Ning Encheng" in the library, and among the people at the ribbon-cutting meeting of Ning Encheng's library, the descendants of Ning family have more and more deeply understood why their father loves Dongda and why teachers and students of Dongda love Ning Encheng!

At the celebration meeting of Northeastern University's 75th anniversary, Ning Lao said: Thank you for coming from all over the world to attend the celebration of Northeastern University's 75th anniversary. When Northeastern University celebrates its 750th anniversary, I invite all of you here to attend for free! Until today, we really realize that Ning Lao's remarks are not only humorous, but also have a deeper meaning, that is, all of us should love, care for and support the development of Dongda from generation to generation and the national education.

During the short two days in San Francisco, we not only attended the 95th birthday celebration for Mrs. Ning held by Ning Lao's daughters on behalf of the school, but also made a special trip to visit Ning Lao's cemetery, bringing all the teachers and students of Northeastern University deep respect and nostalgia for Ning Lao, and also made a special trip to visit Ms. Zhang, the daughter of Mr. Zhang Xueliang, the grandson of the old headmaster.
