Friction is inevitable when we drive on the road, especially when novices drive new cars and scratch them. This is called anxiety and heartache. Some people will worry that the effect of this after-painting car paint can be the same as that of the original car paint during maintenance.

This problem should be discussed from two aspects: materials and construction.

Is the quality of the repaired car paint the same as the original car paint?

First of all, from the paint itself, the repair paint is completely different from the original paint, because their construction technology is different, one is manual spraying, and the other is production line robot spraying. Therefore, they have different requirements for the types of coatings. The original paint is high temperature paint, and the post-paint is low temperature paint.

Although the types are different, they all have their own product grades. For example, the original paint of Mercedes-Benz and the original paint of Li Xia, the product grade of the paint he chose is definitely different. The same is true of repair paint. Different paint brands have different grades and specifications, such as his spraying environment, his proportion, the gloss and thickness of the paint film.

It depends on the construction site. Can he use high-grade paint for you? For example, PPG in the United States, BASF in Germany and Aksu in the Netherlands are all international brand-name car paints.

There is no problem with the quality, will there be any difference in color effect?

This car paint, the color is not ready-made, it needs to be mixed. This involves the process. The colorimeter measures the basic formula data, and the software will tell you how much to put in each basic color to adjust the color. Then, according to this, fine-tune it. Spray a color board first, and then compare it with the original car repeatedly in different light environments. Moreover, when spraying color plates, the spraying conditions such as spraying distance, paint ratio and air pressure should be consistent with the actual spraying. In short, there is a set of standard procedures to ensure the accuracy of colors.

There is also the problem of color difference, and the original car also has color difference.

One is the same color and different batches of cars, and the colors will be different;

In addition, for example, the car body and bumper are not painted by the same car body, and some are even produced by supporting manufacturers, and his indicators will be slightly different. However, manufacturers will have standard specifications, and the color difference between the standard version and the standard version is generally required to be within delta 5 (different from each manufacturer), which is indistinguishable to the naked eye.

Touch-up paint is the same, because you can't be 100% at any time. For example, there will be metal particles in this metallic paint, and then in the process of spraying, the arrangement of the metal you sprayed this time is like this, and the arrangement of the metal will change in one direction next time. Then the color effect of his book will be slightly different.

But again, as long as the measurement is within a standard range, or in this case, you take the standard color matching process+transitional spraying process to solve it. Of course, this requires a high level of spraying for technicians. In this case, you can't tell 100% with naked eyes, which is also in line with the requirements.

After a long time, will there be color difference in the repaired place?

For example, Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz, this type of cars, in the production process, use nano-ceramic varnish, which is a high-grade paint. If you can't use such a high grade when repairing, it is equivalent to repairing a glass on a diamond. That, such as the attenuation of luster and color, will be very different. But as long as you use the same grade of paint, its effect can still be guaranteed.

Let's talk about the construction process first. Do they have the same method for different cars and different places?

First of all, no matter what kind of car, as long as it leaves the factory, its standard process of post-painting is the same, but some details are different.

Generally divided into four major links.

1: Dismantle or repair sheet metal;

2. Substrate treatment before painting;

3: spraying top coat;

4: polishing;

For example, metal damage requires 1-2 layers of epoxy primer for rust prevention, putty shaping for 2-3 times, flatness repair, 2-3 layers of intermediate primer, 2-3 layers of colored paint and 2-3 layers of varnish.

In fact, this process does not have a high technical threshold, but it needs to pay great attention to details. There are dozens of small processes under each big process, and each step has corresponding specifications such as operating environment and so on.

To put it bluntly, it is to see if this process is completely implemented in accordance with this formal process.

What's the difference between a 4S shop, a professional repair shop and a roadside shop?

4s shops and professional repair shops will be more professional. Manual training, hardware equipment and process standards are more standardized.

Take this paint mixing as an example. The paint supplier will provide him with paint, and there will be technicians and paint mixing personnel from the manufacturer to serve him.

Roadside shops always go to zero, and they don't necessarily know what brand it is. Paint mixers also adjust it according to their own experience. Some experienced people can adjust colors, but their proportions are not necessarily scientific. For example, I can use five products to adjust the color, and he may use ten. And it looks like this after spraying, but the color masterbatch inside is too complicated. I do the same in the sun, and then it's different on cloudy days. The same is true in the workshop, but driving outside is different.

So if your car is good, don't go to the roadside shop to get it.

Go to a 4s shop, his big industry, luxury lounge and so on, expensive and expensive.

The workshop facilities of professional repair shops are all right, but saving money on those facade things is relatively cost-effective.

Simple summary

Having said so much, I believe everyone knows. Using standard paint and strict construction operation procedures can also achieve the same effect as the original car paint.

In other words, both materials and construction are indispensable. Even in the 4S shop, there is nothing the workers can do.
