Zhang Zhaoxiang (1911-1942), formerly known as Zhang Ruilin, was a native of Jiuchengzhuang, Wenshui County. Born in a poor peasant family, he was brilliant since he was a child. At the age of 7, he studied in a private school in his village, and was admitted to Taiyuan Civilian Middle School at the age of 15. After graduation, he became a primary school teacher in Qiaotou, Nan 'an and Yunzhou Xi Village of this county.
