China United Communications Co., Ltd. was established in July 1994 with a capital of13.4 million yuan. After ten years of development, it has become a super-large state-owned backbone enterprise with net assets of 84.3 billion yuan and total assets of 265.438+0.29 billion yuan. It is the only integrated telecom operator in China that can provide integrated telecom basic services. One year after its establishment, GSM communication was opened in Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shanghai and Beijing on July 1995 19. On June 8th, 2002, China Unicom launched the CDMA2000 1X RTT network.

On June 7, 2009, with the approval of the State Council, China United Communications Group Corporation and China Network Communications Group Corporation were reorganized and merged, and the new company name was China United Network Communications Group Corporation.
