Les Miserables profoundly exposes and criticizes the decadent essence and evil phenomenon of French feudal autocratic society in the19th century through the tragic experiences of Jean Valjean and others and a series of touching stories of Jean Valjean under the influence of Bishop Bienvenu, and expresses sympathy and pity for the exploitation, fraud and cruel persecution suffered by the poor under feudal oppression.

/kloc-In Paris in the 0/9th century, poor Jean Valjean stole bread for hungry children and was sentenced to hard labor for 0/9 years by a judge who had enough to eat. After being released from prison, the desperate Jean Valjean was taken in by the kind bishop Miriam for the night, but he stole the bishop's silverware and absconded, and was arrested by the police.

The bishop claimed that the silver was for him, which saved Jean Valjean from arrest. The bishop's words and deeds influenced Jean Valjean, who changed his name to Madeleine, turned over a new leaf and worked hard. Ten years later, he became a successful businessman and mayor. At this time, Wei, a Changsha policeman who had arrested him before, appeared and was bent on finding trouble with him.

During this period, Jean Valjean learned of the tragic experience of Fantine, a prostitute, and promised to take care of Cosette, an illegitimate daughter. Eight years later, the quiet life became turbulent again-Cosette fell in love with the young Republican Marius as an adult, and a vigorous popular uprising broke out in Paris. The rogue Thenardier and Jean Valjean met again, and the policeman Changsha Wei, who had never given up chasing Jean Valjean for many years, appeared in front of Jean Valjean.
