CHINESE BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION was established in June 1956, referred to as "Chinese Basketball Association" and English name "Chinese Basketball Association", referred to as "CBA".

China Basketball Association is a national mass sports organization with independent legal personality. It is a national, non-profit joint organization composed of basketball associations of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, basketball associations of various industries and corresponding sports organizations of the People's Liberation Army. It is the only legal organization representing China in the International Basketball Federation and the Asian Basketball Federation.
