Construction objectives:

By 2020, several universities and a number of disciplines in China will enter the world-class ranks, and several disciplines will enter the forefront of world-class disciplines; By 2030, more universities and disciplines will enter the world-class ranks.

Several universities have entered the forefront of world-class universities, and a number of disciplines have entered the forefront of world-class disciplines, and the overall strength of higher education has been significantly improved; By the middle of this century, the number and strength of first-class universities and first-class disciplines have entered the forefront of the world and basically become a powerful country in higher education.

Selection method:

Establish a "double-first-class" construction expert Committee, rely on the expert Committee, determine the selection criteria by discipline, and generate a list of universities and disciplines to be built.

Firstly, comprehensively consider the authority, influence and recognition of the third-party evaluation, and demonstrate and determine the third-party evaluation results to be adopted;

Then, based on the evaluation of Chinese characteristic disciplines, especially the evaluation that reflects the talent cultivation and the level of disciplines, with appropriate reference to international evaluation, and taking into account the national strategy, the urgent needs of industry regions, irreplaceable and other factors, this paper demonstrates the formation of the accreditation standard for the construction of first-class disciplines in colleges and universities;

Finally, according to the evaluation criteria, the list of 137 first-level discipline construction universities was selected, and the disciplines to be built were generated accordingly. On the basis of the list of suggestions for the construction of first-class universities, through comprehensive evaluation and demonstration, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the construction of 42 world-class universities.
