The School of Pharmacy of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was formerly the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was established in 1973. It was renamed College of Pharmacy in 2002 and moved to Dalian in 2006. The College of Pharmacy has a first-class discipline of Chinese Medicine, a two disciplines doctorate in pharmacognosy and three master's programs in pharmacognosy, pharmacology and Chinese Medicine, among which Chinese Medicine is a first-class discipline. There is also a mobile station for postdoctoral scientific research of traditional Chinese medicine.
University scale
According to the requirements of building a "domestic and international famous" teaching and research university, the College of Pharmacy moved from Shenyang to Dalian in August 2006. The College of Pharmacy has grown from 43 people who moved to Dalian to 97 faculty members, including 72 teachers, experimental technicians 15 and administrators 10. There are 4 1 person with doctoral degree, and there are 13 people studying for doctoral degree; Professor 16, associate professor 24, doctoral supervisor 10, master supervisor 24. Two winners of special government allowance of the State Council.
The College of Pharmacy now has eleven teaching and research sections and an experimental teaching center for basic chemistry, pharmacology, traditional Chinese medicine chemistry, medicinal plants, identification of traditional Chinese medicine, processing of traditional Chinese medicine, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical preparations, pharmaceutical engineering, food science and engineering, and comprehensive foundation. The College of Pharmacy also has a Chinese Medicine Research Institute and an analysis and testing center.
