Nantong scenic spot recommendation
Even though there is only one Sutong Bridge between Shanghai and Suzhou, Nantong's temperament is closer to the north, and it is more like an independent kingdom of its own because it is far from Nanjing, the provincial capital.
As one of the few coastal cities in Jiangsu Province, you can taste a lot of fresh seafood in Nantong. Even though the coastline is mostly yellow sand beach, it is worthwhile to chase the river and catch the sea.

The earliest self-run museum in China is here. As early as 1905, Zhang Jian proposed to set up a museum, and also suggested that the state run it.
It is not as serious as a general museum, but more like a garden. This is Zhang Jian's original idea, which is to combine the exhibition hall with the garden, pay equal attention to indoor display and outdoor display, and keep static specimens and living animals and plants.
Today, the main exhibits have been transferred to the new blue-gray museum, and many of the collections were donated by Zhang Jian's family. There are many kinds of porcelain, jade, calligraphy and painting, and many fine products. Next to the museum is Haohe Bie Ye, the former residence of Zhang Jian, a building combining Chinese and Western styles.

The Guangjiao Temple on the mountain is dedicated to the only big bodhisattva in Southeast Asia who wears a dragon robe.

Looking at the Yangtze River from Longzhaoyan in the northwest, the river surface is wide, the water depth is swift, and there is a tendency to beat the shore when the wind and tide are high. This is the cemetery chosen by Zhang Jian himself. Zhang Jian died here at the age of 74. His funerary objects are simple, except crutches, glasses, tire repair clothes and a teacup full of gaps.
The statue of Zhang Jian was once destroyed, but now it was rebuilt in 1985. Around Zhangjian Cemetery, there are nearly 10,000 ancient trees such as Longbai and Chishan. Out of four widths, Nantong University is not far from the other side.
Nantong gourmet
A sip of Jiangxian can be the only reason to go to Nantong. There is the Yangtze River in the south and the Yellow Sea in the east, which makes Nantong have endless delicious fish all year round. Swordfish, puffer fish, anchovies and shad, known as the "four wonders of the Yangtze River", are all indispensable delicacies. You have to wait for a good chance to eat such delicious fish.
The swordfish in front of Tomb-Sweeping Day is the most tender and melts in the mouth. After Tomb-Sweeping Day, the fishbone will harden and the taste will not be so good. Due to years of overfishing, the real swordfish is small and expensive (about 1500 Jin). It is not an exaggeration to say that it is luxury consumption. Generally, "lake knife" and "sea knife" are used to replace the food that Jiangxian restaurant can eat.
Domestic puffer fish (280 kg) can be safely eaten, among which "Huang Ju" is the top grade of puffer fish. In spring and autumn, when cauliflower chrysanthemum is in bloom, anchovies are the fattest and have no thorns. The shad basically disappeared, and most of the edible ones were raised artificially. In addition to the four delicacies, mackerel, eel, salmon, perch and stickleback are also fresh enough.
