Chongqing No.1 Light Industry Bureau Staff Secondary Specialized School was founded in 1985.
Chongqing No.1 Light Industry Workers College was founded in 1984, which was formed by the merger of Chongqing Watch Industry Company Vocational College founded in 1980 and Chongqing Ceramics Research Institute Enamel Vocational College founded in 1983.
Chongqing Second Light Industry Bureau Cadre School was founded in 1977. 1987, 1985 and 1984, respectively, merged into Chongqing Second Light Industry Bureau Cadre School. In addition, Chongqing No.2 Light Workers College, formerly known as Chongqing Plastics Industry Company Workers College, was founded in 1979. 1989 merger of four schools. Chongqing No.1 Light Industry Bureau Cadre School, Chongqing No.1 Light Industry Bureau Staff Secondary Specialized School, Chongqing No.1 Light Industry Workers College and Chongqing No.2 Light Industry Bureau Cadre School were merged to form Chongqing Light Industry Workers College, which was subordinate to the former Chongqing Light Industry Bureau.
In August 2000, Chongqing Light Industry Workers College was merged into Southwest Normal University (now Southwest University), and the Higher Vocational and Technical College of Southwest University was established, becoming one of more than 30 secondary colleges under Southwest University.
In 2009, the Higher Vocational and Technical College of Southwest University was renamed the College of Applied Technology of Southwest University and became the full-time undergraduate education college of Southwest University.
On September 20 14, Southwest University formulated and issued the School-running System Reform Plan of Applied Technology College (Xiao Xi [2065438+04] No.383), requiring the establishment of a Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school based on the Institute of Applied Technology.
2065438+On February 1 2006, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and People's Republic of China (PRC) agreed to establish the West Tower College of Southwest University in cooperation with the University of Western Australia and the University of Tasmania.
From March 2065438 to March 2006, Southwest University issued the Notice of Southwest University on the Establishment of Xita College, and decided that Xita College would be a Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school with no legal person status, a second-level teaching and research unit of Southwest University, organized as a division level, and co-located with the College of Applied Technology in a certain period of time.
