Changchun Institute of Electronic Technology, located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, is an independent undergraduate private university, and it is an application-oriented university that trains high-quality applied and skilled talents needed for regional economic and social development.

The school was founded in 200 1, formerly known as School of Optoelectronic Information, Changchun University of Science and Technology. In 2004, it was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and turned into an independent private undergraduate school, named Changchun Institute of Electronic Technology.
