The National University of Defense Technology of PLA (hereinafter referred to as the National University of Defense Technology) is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a comprehensive military university directly led by the Central Military Commission of the Chinese Production Party, and has always been a key institution for national and military construction.
Central South University was formed in April 2000 by the merger of Hunan Medical University, Changsha Railway Institute and Central South University of Technology. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and one of the first five universities in China to carry out eight-year medical education (joint study of bachelor's degree and doctoral degree).
Hunan University, which originated from Yuelu Academy, was founded in 976 AD, and was transformed into Hunan College in 1903. 1926 was named the provincial Hunan university, and 1937 became the 15 national university of the national government. In 1950, Mao Zedong wrote down the name of the school. 1953 was renamed as central south institute of architecture and engineering in the adjustment of national departments, and 1959 restored the name of Hunan university. In 2000, it merged with Hunan University of Finance and Economics to form a new Hunan University.
Hunan Normal University, founded in 1938, is the first independent normal college for nationalities in China. At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the National Teachers College was merged into Hunan University. 1In August, 953, the national departments were adjusted, Hunan University was abolished, and Hunan Normal University was established. 1984, the school was renamed Hunan Normal University.
Xiangtan University is a comprehensive national key university founded by Comrade Mao Zedong and a national "double-class" construction university. It is a comprehensive university jointly established by Hunan Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education, State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, Ministry of Education and Hunan Province.
